The American Heritage Horse Association is a Foundation Spanish Mustang association. It is with this in mind the AHHA came into being after five years of organization. We feel that these horses are truly America's Heritage and should be preserved as such. The foundation horses of this association are the remains of the historical Spanish horses that help build this nation. They are of the purest strains available today.

September 12-14, 2008 Clinician is Mr. Wes Thomsen of Minnesota.

So why another registry? The American Heritage Horse Association was founded out of the desire to preserve Foundation Spanish Mustangs. There are any number of avenues for horse owner for registering their horses. So why register yours AHHA?

  1. We are preservation oriented. We will never knowingly registered a non foundation bred horse by our standards. If that would happen that horse would be removed.
  2. We intend to provide modern up to date services for our members, so that they may make breeding and purchasing decisions with the latest pedigree information.
  3. We actively pursue scientific and historical research on our horses.
  4. We require what no other 'mustang' registry does. Parentage testing, the results will be stored and the genetic material available for research.
  5. We protect both our members, new horse owners and breeders by requiring parentage information. We want the horse that you purchased to be the horse you have.
  6. We are also promotion oriented. We intend to promote the horses. Sponsor events and already have an extreme horse race events in the works for 2008 & 2009.
  7. We are a dynamic organization that is open to our members wishes. Communication is paramount. If you have a question we will endeavor to have an answer.
